so, what's with the name "deer pants"

Before your vivid imagination takes off regarding the name of my blog, let me just say that it was quite an agonizing experience to come up with a name for my blog. Out of sheer desperation, after minutes of tense indecision, I settled on these two words: deer and pants.

So, why the two words? I assure you that deer pants does not refer to the latest fashion statement but rather to the beginning of one of my favorite word images:

"As the deer pants for streams of water, so my soul pants for you, O God. My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. When can I go and meet with God ?"
Psalm 42: 1, 2
Since God is the most powerful, smartest, and wisest Being that I know of, you can see my logic in wanting to meet with him so that I get to know him.
